Weekly Artist Feature | Tunji Adeniyi-Jones
Tunji Adeniyi-Jones (b. 1992) is a Nigerian-British artist whose paintings emerge from a perspective of what he describes as "cultural addition, combination, and collaboration." Born and educated in the UK and now living and working in the USA, Adeniyi-Jones draws inspiration from the ancient history of West Africa, its rich mythology, and his Yoruba heritage.
His lush, dreamlike compositions feature elongated, fluid figures set against vibrant, tropical backdrops, blending African art traditions with contemporary aesthetics. Through his dynamic practice, Adeniyi-Jones creates a visual language that celebrates movement, cultural heritage, and the transformative power of art.

- He earned a BFA from Oxford University (2014) and an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale University (2017).
- His work is in prestigious collections, including the Dallas Museum of Art, Fondation Louis Vuitton, and Pérez Art Museum Miami.
