Exhibition Description
Commissioned as part of Brown Arts Institute’s public art program, Unsui (Cloud Forest) is a large-scale installation by renowned artist Sanford Biggers. The work features a series of LED-lit cloud forms suspended within Sayles Hall, creating a dynamic interplay of light and space. Biggers draws inspiration from global art histories, particularly the depiction of clouds as both decorative and conceptual elements. The installation encourages viewers to reflect on themes of ephemerality, spirituality, and the intersection of natural and constructed environments.
