Exhibition Description
"Black Ancient Futures brings together works by 11 artists from the African diaspora, some of them presented for the first time in Portugal, who, through different languages, propose a vast set of narratives and alternative landscapes to the dominant panorama of contemporary arts. The alternative potential of the works summoned for this exhibition allows us to speculate on the possibility of a universe of utopian spaces favorable to changes in points of view, both on racial and historical justice and on the hierarchy and geography of contemporary creation." -MAAT
