Leonardo Benzant

Biography

Leonardo Benzant (1972- ) is a Dominican-American artist with Haitian heritage. He studies Yoruba and Kongo initiation rites to inform his work. Benzant is a multidisciplinary artist using various materials to connect to his African and Caribbean heritage. Benzant received his BFA from Pratt Institute in 2010.
