Gerard Sekoto
Gerard Sekoto (1913-1993) was a South African visual artist and musician. Considered to be a pioneer of Black South African art, his art played a large part in the cultural development of the region. Sekoto is primarily known for his paintings of everyday life derived from his own experiences.
